Moving Into Meditation Videos: Support in These Challenging Times

Welcome to the Moving Into Meditation videos

I am making my Moving Into Meditation videos freely available this month as support for people who are housebound and stressed.

These integrated practices of mindful yoga and embodied meditation were designed to be part of the week-by-week program described in my 2014 book Moving Into Meditation: A 12-Week Mindfulness Training for Yoga Practitioners. The idea was that you would practice with them after reading the accompanying chapter. However, you’ll still enjoy them if you haven’t read the book! If you do want to get the book, you can order it here.

Remember: Mindful yoga is about the inner experience, not the outer form. I’ve deliberately chosen models with a wide range of body types and levels of physical abilities—and I encourage you as much as possible to take your eyes off the screen and turn your gaze inward, tuning to your inner experience. I’ve kept the sessions relatively non-demanding physically, so you can deepen into your practice by increasing your sensitivity and awareness, not by doing more dramatic poses.

Enjoy your practice!
Namaste,
Anne Cushman
